The strength of the group depends on each person’s unique perspective and commitment so leaders who are interested in the fellowship must commit to participating in all in person and virtual sessions scheduled between August and December 2020.

Sessions include a mix of in person and virtual learning opportunities. Locations to be announced. 

Lodging and some meals will be covered by the Early Intervention Training Program (EITP). Participants are responsible for all other travel expenses that are not covered by EITP, including meals and incidentals while in route to/from in person events and dinners. The extent to which hotel lodging and meals will be covered for participants will be confirmed prior to the kick off event.

MEET THE FELLOWSHIP CO-LEADER:

Dr. Kristie Pretti-Frontczak

An accomplished author, sought-after consultant, and educator’s educator, Dr. Kristie Pretti-Frontczak has 30 years of experience working with adults and supporting the change process. Her {r}evolutionary approach for igniting and sustaining change in early care and education is grounded in research and wisdom traditions that seek to achieve wholeness in adult professionals. Dr. Pretti-Frontczak spent 16 years as a tenured professor in Higher Education at Kent State University before leaving to lead a {r}evolution in early childhood education. Now, through comprehensive classes, thought-provoking keynote addresses, and practical resources for teachers, she’s guiding adult professionals who work with our youngest students toward developing their emotional intelligence, reclaiming children’s right to learn through play, and reimagining more inclusive classrooms. She has written six textbooks, two workbooks, and AEPS curricular system, and spent over 50,000 hours teaching adults best practices in early childhood care and education in locations from Cincinnati to Singapore. It’s all part of her effort to build kinder, more inclusive, and more creative classrooms- and therefore, a better world. 

MEET THE FELLOWSHIP CO-LEADER:

Jennifer Lopez

A leadership coach, organizational consultant, and corporate executive, Jennifer Lopez has 20 years of experience with organizational change. She is a community advocate for families and children. As a trustee of the Children’s Museum of Cleveland, she develops strategies to engage the community and generate enthusiasm for its mission. This work also allows her to fulfill her passion of creating safe spaces for children to learn and play. She holds a Master’s degree in Positive Organizational Development and Change from Case Western Reserve University, the birthplace of Appreciative Inquiry. She studied with pioneering leaders in the fields of Resonant Leadership, Coaching with Compassion, and Emotional Intelligence. She is the wife of a jazz musician, mother of five glorious children, and a devotee of compassionate leadership as a means of bringing out the best in people to create thriving teams and organizations. She loves finding great ways to reframe work and life, using a unique approach of celebrating the chaos that is often around us and reconsidering our own approach to the challenges that find their way into the lives of busy leaders.
